Tushar Deshpande

On May 15, 1995, Tushar Uday Deshpande was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He was raised in Kalyan and frequently went to practice at Shivaji Park Gymkhana in Dadar, one of Mumbai's most famous cricket instruction facilities. His rigorous schedule and lengthy commutes demonstrated his early commitment to the sport.

His upbringing was greatly influenced by his parents, Vandana and Uday Deshpande. Vandana, his mother, died of ovarian cancer in 2019. Tushar was participating in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy at the time. He gave her a memorable performance, including a four-wicket haul, in a moment of intense emotion.

Tushar balanced his academic pursuits with his aspirations to play cricket while attending R A Podar College of Commerce & Economics.

Rise in Domestic Cricket

Deshpande began playing for Mumbai in the under-16 and under-19 divisions. Early on, his promise was clear, and he rose through the ranks gradually. In the 2018–19 season, he made his List A debut in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, where he made headlines with his first five-wicket haul in the quarterfinals.

He was included in the India A lineup after being selected for the Duleep Trophy in 2019 with the India Blue team. His steady play and deft bowling, particularly in the limited-overs format, were the keys to his domestic success.

Entry into the IPL

When Tushar was selected by the Delhi Capitals in 2020, his IPL career officially began. When he made his debut that season, his speed and swing were impressive. He joined with the Chennai Super Kings in 2022, where he learnt a lot, particularly how to perform under pressure in the last overs.

Tushar became into a more polished and collected bowler while playing for Chennai. He played in pivotal games and was a member of the team that won the IPL championship, picking up tips from more seasoned players and demonstrating his mettle under pressure.

Role with Rajasthan Royals

Tushar Deshpande joined the Rajasthan Royals prior to the 2025 season. His position in the squad has been gradually growing, even though he is not yet the team's starting pacemaker. In recent years, Tushar has had happy turning points in his personal life. He became engaged to long-time friend and art instructor Nabha Gaddamwar on June 12, 2023. In front of family and friends, the couple got married in Mumbai on December 21, 2023.

The couple does not currently have any children. Furthermore, no information about siblings is known to the general population.

Outside of cricket, Tushar loves to travel and especially loves going on mountain excursions. When he takes a vacation from the game, he frequently uses these retreats to unwind and rejuvenate.
